Project Overview

I worked on the development team for ACSESS (Association of Canadian Search, Employment and Staffing Services), the national trade association for Canada's staffing industry. I was involved across much of the platform, from the membership system to the CMS that runs the bilingual site.

The Challenge

ACSESS needed a bilingual site that could handle company-level memberships with applications and renewals, maintain a public directory of member companies, manage event registration, and give staff easy content editing tools.

Two things shaped most of the work. Members are companies rather than individuals, which changes how applications, renewals, and the directory are structured. And every page, news item, and resource has to exist in both English and French, so bilingual content couldn't be an afterthought bolted onto the CMS.

My Role

My work spanned the membership system, including company applications and renewals, the bilingual CMS staff use to manage English and French content, the public member directory, and the event calendar.
