A straightforward small business site usually takes a few weeks from kickoff to launch. Online stores, bookings, and custom features take longer. The biggest factor is usually how quickly content and feedback come back, so it helps to start gathering your text and photos early.
How soon could you start on my project?
Usually within a few weeks, though it depends on what's already booked. Smaller projects and fixes can often slot in sooner. I take on a limited number of projects at a time so each one gets finished properly, so it's worth asking early if you have a deadline.
Do you work with trades and contractors?
Yes, and they're some of my most straightforward projects. None of it needs a large budget: a handful of pages, a gallery of past jobs you can add to yourself, and a quote request form that comes straight to your inbox.
Can you build custom software as well as websites?
Yes, and it's a large share of what I do. I work on membership platforms that serve tens of thousands of members across Canada, and the same skills go into smaller tools built for one local business. If off-the-shelf software almost fits but keeps forcing workarounds, that's usually where custom work makes sense.
Will my Belleville business show up in Google Maps results?
Google says it ranks local results on three things: relevance, distance, and prominence. Distance is out of anyone's hands. Relevance comes from your website and your Business Profile describing what you do and where, and I build the website side and help you get the profile right. It depends on what's wrong. If the design is dated but the site underneath is sound and fast, a refresh is often the better value. If it's slow, not properly mobile-friendly, built on an abandoned platform, or held together by conflicting plugins, rebuilding usually costs less over three years than repeatedly patching it.
